Jonah Medvinsky
I have been doing club swimming for the last 14 years and I have been apart of Seattle Metropolitan Aquatic Club for last 6 years. I started volunteering to teach younger swimmers on my swim team and enjoyed it so I became a swim instructor. I have been swim instructing for the last 2 summers.
Favorite Swim Memory: Winning Washington Senior Championships in the 100 breast which is my favorite stroke
I love teaching at SwimQwik because of its encouraging atmosphere. The smaller class sizes allow me to give swimmers more individualized attention, helping them build confidence and improve their technique more effectively. The focus on both safety and fun makes it a great place for swimmers to learn and grow.
My teaching approach focuses on creating a positive and encouraging environment where swimmers feel comfortable learning and improving. I break down techniques into simple, easy-to-understand steps and adjust my teaching based on each swimmer’s skill level and learning style. I also use demonstrations and hands-on corrections to help reinforce proper form. Since I know swimming can be challenging, I stay patient and supportive, making sure to celebrate progress, no matter how small. My goal is to help swimmers gain confidence in the water while improving their skills in a way that’s both fun and effective
