I was on my High School swim team all 4 years, made varsity and participated in districts and state competitions. I have been teaching swim for about 6 years. During that time I also certified Lifeguards as an LGI (Lifeguard Instructor) and taught first aid and CPR. Backstroke is my favorite stroke. Its a fast stroke and you can breath the whole time!

At SwimQwik, I love the independent feel here and the ability SwimQwik gives me to teach students in a style that works for me while progressing skills in a structured order.

I didn’t learn how to swim until I was around 11, I was scared of the water for a long time and wasn’t sure of myself in the water. It wasn’t until I pushed myself to learn swimming that I fell in love with it and became pretty good at it. I believe students need to be confident in learning how to swim, it is everything. It conquers the fear they have that’s holding them back from learning to the best of their ability. I teach them to be confident in the water from celebrating small successes and teaching safety above all. Students in my classes will learn the skills they need to be safe and have fun.
