Valentino Soroor
I am a collegiate-level swimmer with over ten years of competitive experience, specializing in sprint backstroke, and freestyle events. Currently training and competing at the NCAA level, I’ve developed a strong understanding of stroke technique, race strategy, and athlete development. My background includes daily training in the pool and weight room, along with experience mentoring younger swimmers on technique and performance mindset.
Favorite Swim Memory: Winning a conference championship with my Relay in 2025.
Favorite Stroke: Backstroke and butterfly.
My teaching approach centers on building strong fundamentals, fostering a positive and disciplined training environment, and tailoring instruction to each swimmer’s unique needs. I recognize that every swimmer is different—whether in experience level, learning style, or personal goals—so I adapt my coaching to bring out the best in each athlete. I emphasize technique, body awareness, and mental resilience while keeping practices engaging and goal-oriented. Drawing from my collegiate swimming background, I aim to inspire swimmers to grow both in and out of the water.
