Bernice Liu

For ten years, I dedicated myself to competitive swimming, beginning in Oregon with the Corvallis Aquatic Team, where I developed strong fundamentals and a deep passion for the sport. Training daily and competing regularly taught me discipline, resilience, and how to push through physical and mental limits. After moving to Washington, I joined the Issaquah Swim Team, where I continued to grow as an athlete and teammate. I've taught private lessons for 2 years.

I love getting to teach little kids and watch them grow into competent young swimmers. They also have so much energy that makes everything fun and exciting. Swimqwik has an amazing community that helps shape young swimmers into strong swimmers.

My teaching approach focus on techniques, but i understand the attention span of younger kids and accommodate to that. I also consider what the parent wants to get out of the swim class. I like to keep things fun and focused. Although I am not usually strict, I can be when needed to help keep things on track. Otherwise I aim to create a fun atmosphere to engage young kids.
