Alex Elizarov
I swam competitively for 13 years at various clubs in Washington State, specifically Pro Club, King Aquatic Club, and the Bellevue Club Swim Team.
My favorite swim memory was Swimming at NACC in Edmonton, Alberta for the PNS swim team. It was my first international meet
Butterfly and Freestyle are my favorite strokes, with a specific focus on sprint events (with the occasional 200 yard or meter race).
I love teaching people how to swim and be comfortable in the water. SwimQwik provides a very easy way to get into the water and get going which is so important as when I was finishing my competitive swimming career, a few pools had started to close down around my area.
My first and foremost goal is to get people comfortable in the water. To me this means listening to what their needs are and then creating a plan with them that will best approach the goals that they have. From there, I believe good technique is the key to helping prevent injuries and making sure that you are comfortable while swimming. But most of all, I want people to have fun! You are in the water for a reason, whether that be to get comfortable and feel safe in the water, or be more competitive. But if you aren't having fun learning all of these things, then I am not doing my job well enough.
